Reducing water consumption with energy efficient appliances

This is a great time to be out shopping for a new appliance that uses water - i.e. clothes washer, dishwasher...  Not only are their great low water usage models available but many state and regional specific rebates are available.

We are located in the San Francisco bay area and here is an example of a local CA rebate.  Our local water distract has teamed up with Pacific Gas & Electric to offer up a $125 rebate on a clothes washer that is at least  CEE Tier III rated - http://www.waterenergysavings.com/

We are all familiar with ENERGY STAR, but this rebate only qualifies for CEE Tier III.  So what is that?  CEE is - Consortium for Energy Efficiency working to advance efficiency.  If you type a new model number into shopExact we will tell you the rating and how much water is consumed.

Here is a new model available for sale: Samsung - Laundry washer - WF241ANW.  It is Tier III rated.
Check it out - The energy gauge setting is well below Tier III and it is almost the Best in Class for annual water consumption.

You can save over 10,000 gallons of water a year with a new clothes washer - so take advantage while these rebates are out their.  And use shopExact to help you decide on the best option for you.
